Depends??? Lots of factors calculate this. It really depends on the neighborhood more than anything, and the price range. You can get a new home for $49/sq ft or pay $200 sq ft, just depends what you want.

Given the size of our area (population in the two counties alone exceeds 250,000), perhaps a better question would be how much house you can buy for a given price?
Neighborhood prices vary greatly from one subdivision to another, and any blanket average for a county the size of Richmond (or Columbia) would probably not give you the information you seek.
