I have taken the bus from the old bridge park n ride for about 8 years. It is the cheapest place to catch the bus. The ride itself takes about 45-60 minutes to port authority depending on traffic.

I have been traveling to Port Authority from Old Bridge daily (for over 7 years now) and it takes me on average about 60-75 minutes each way during rush hour. I usually leave around 8:00 am and can expect to be in PA by 9:15 am. Since RT 9 and the Turnpike both have the bus express lanes the traffic isn't so bad. The traffic tends to build when exiting RT 9 onto the Garden State Parkway and the approach into the Lincoln Tunnel.

Have your tried Mapquest.com as a recommendations for time, directions and etc.
