What is the best neighborhood in Paradise Valley to buy a 3br 2b home for 200-300k?

We are looking in the 85050 zip code and really like the area, but wonder why there are so many for sale on 32nd st and Beardsley compared to the area on the other side of the 51 (Tatum and Union Hills). Also, we are looking around Bell and Greenway near the 51. Does anyone know good neighborhoods in these areas? I have heard some are going downhill and don't want to make the mistake of buying there...

Good morning Wendy,

Thanks for the question. The area you described is actually North Phoenix rather than PV.... I think Jay was trying to discern whether you meant homes in the Town of Paradise Valley or in the Paradise Valley School district. That said, on to your real question.. what are the good areas?

Without knowing what you mean by good area, I really can't answer the question. Some people base "good area" on crime statistics, others on schools or proximity to stores. There can be a lot of factors and the ones I use would probably not be the same as yours.

Both my brother and I have lived and worked in the area you described and have lots of information we could share with you. We'd be delighted to help you sift through the info and make a wise choice. Give us a call or drop an email.

Wendy -

The lowest price home currently listed in Paradise Valley is $475K.

There are currently 476 homes listed for sale in PV. The 451 of them are over $1,000,000.

It's the most exclusive area of Phoenix. I don't think 85050 is in PV.

Are you referring to Paradise Valley the city, or Paradise Valley School District?

Please be aware that real estate agents can't legally answer questions like "what is a 'good" neighborhood". (thought I suspect someone will do just that.)
