Here is a link to CT mill rates. It is based on 2011 grand list for fiscal year 2013.

Taxes are determined by the assessment multiplied by the town mill rate.

The state publishes a list of each towns mill rate at http://www.ct.gov/opm/lib/opm/igp/dataresc/millrts/2013_gl_f…

Important - as it is not off of the sale price but the assessment, you can have two similarly priced homes with various taxes. Likewise, the town with the lowest mill rate doesn't necessary means the lowest taxes. Some towns with a low mill rates have higher average sales price.

The taxes depend on the mil rate. However, any listing will have the breakdown of the assessed value, the mil rate and the actual taxes. You can also go into each town's website to see how taxes are determined. If I can be of any help in your homesearch please let me know.

Vision Appraisal for Westport, Darien and New Canaan have separate vendors for their tax info. Those have the most of the tax information you would need (appraised and assessed amounts, physical size of the structures and properties. Please contact me and I can set you up with links.
