I would consider older homes on Beech Mountain as those that were built between 1968 - 1988. In 2010 there were 22 such homes sold. However, these included several foreclosures and a few which were remodeled, in various stages. You also have to consider whether the property had a Beech Mountain Club membership (a $30,000 value), view, etc. That being said, these 22 homes averaged between $80 - $90/sf. Biker1,
Dollars per square foot is only one measure of value, and not always reliable. The quickest answer to your question would be for you to search the address you are interested in at Zillow.com. Realize, Zillow does not guarantee the accuracy of their information and may be as much as 20% off in either direction, but they give you a place to start.
For the best idea of a home’s value, have a local agent do a comprehensive CMA (Comparative Market Analysis). Good luck with your purchase.
