What is our recourse and expected compensation for a new house not located properly on a lot?

The builder of our home, six weeks after initial surveying and now after the completion of the frame, realizes they did not place the house properly as we signed for in our paperwork. The builder has admitted their fault. I'd like to get some opinions on what type of consideration is equitable for this mistake. We can live with the house in this location, but it's not what we bought or our what we exactly wanted. It's a 500K house and I asked for about 50K of incentives/upgrades - some related to making the property better in the new configuration and some as simple financial consideration for not getting what we wanted. I presume they can tell us to pound sand, let us walk away, or rebuild the house - right?

Zman,

This should be a major concern.......Are they continuing construction? How much of a problem is the error?
Has the builder made any recommendations?

It may be important to file a formal complaint sooner than later.....

Our suggestion is to consult with an attorney ASAP to protect your interests.

Sounds like you need a lawyer, not a Realtor.
