Dear Marius:

"Waxman" split homes are one or two family split level homes that where built by a developer who's last name was Waxman. Since they are all split level they are commonly referred to as "Waxman Splits." These homes were built in the 1960's and are primarily located in Mill Basin and there are some in Canarsie as well.

If I can be of further assistance let me know.

Proof that "LOCAL" is better! WOW! Thanks Mitchell for that excellent description of the Waxman home.

I love working on the 'net, but I find there's no substitute for good old-fashioned LOCAL professionals---whether Realtors or Mortgage Pros---who are familiar with local methods, customs, and esoterica.
