What is a "desk appraisal" compaired to a regular appraisal?

FIRST ANSWER

I believe A desk appraisal is where the value is established by data available without a physical visit to the property. Data used may be MLS and/or county assesed values. It is a less expensive option than a full appraisal or BPO.
