Hi Judith,

It depends on the type of property you are looking for, a resale in 10 years will depend on the economy and the desirability of the location your home is in. As you can see below there are many great areas that have the desirability, however it depends on your speed of life and the type of property you desire.

Let me know how I can assist further.
I grew up in the Orlando area.

In 10 years I would say Plymouth, Sorrento, and Sanford West of I-4. Still get good buys on land and a very nice area along theWekiva River basin. The others have all mentioned areas that are already up a bit in price per sq/ft. All the best. Matthew 352=573-9610. Narcoosee means Osceola County which I do not particulary care for. Or even the new develpements in Mt Dora would be great, hilly, eclectic, artsy, fun.

I agree with Rick in that the area off Narcoosee Rd. is going to see the most growth in the next 10 years because the new medical school and Burnham Institute will create demand for housing in this area. There's also some old faithful areas that have always been good. While the Narcossee Rd. area is more of a speculative buy, Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Winter Park, and Lake Mary have always done really well for appreciation compared to the rest of Orlando. Winter Park tends to have more older homes but new homes can be found a Baldwin Park and Windsong. Orwin Manor is my favorite neighborhood for older homes in Winter Park. Alaqua Lakes in Lake Mary is a good place to start but it is pricey here. In Dr. Phillips and Windermere, there's just a ton of choices for new and older homes. I believe Windermere has recorded the most number of sales of homes that cost more than a million dollars in Central Florida. You can check out my blog to get an idea of Windermere and Dr Phillips. It's a great time to buy with a 10 year time horizon. Some of the best deals can be had in this depressed market.

Hi Judith,
There are a few options, I must agree that the East side of Orlando which includes Waterford Lakes(,Eastwood and Stoneybrook ( both golf communiies) Avalon Park and the Lake Nona Area .Its fast growing with ample shopping and entertainment venues. Also Good Schools and and the new Medical city being built. this includes the Burnham Institute, The UCF School of Medicine and the soon to announced VA Hospital.
Oviedo is also another choice as is Winter Park and Winter Springs.
Really its a choice you may want to consider after you get a good idea of where everything is and how far to work and you worship/school and medical needs are. If you have any questions just let me know. I am here to help.
Rick.

Hi Judith! I would suggest the east side of Orlando. There are two specific areas that come to mind. Both are within close distance of the UCF or the new medical school/teaching hospital. Take a look at Waterford Lakes area or the Narcoose corridor. If you buy something near the new medical school you will probably get a faster return on your investment. Please let me know if I can help.
