Is this something that has to be paid every year or does it eventually go away?
Hello!
Yes Looking4drmhm, A front foot fee is usually an annual fee. In some cases it is added to your annual property taxes and in other cases you are sent an annual bill. I don't know which home you are referencing, but it depends on how the payment is arranged. The $468 could be arranged in monthly payments of $39. This bill will continue until it has been satisfied by the community.
I'd be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Feel free to contact me.

I don't have an answer to give, but I do have another question about the Front Foot Fee.
If the ad I read for a home purchse says, Front Foot Fee is $468.00. If I pay that amount when or before I move in, will I have to worry about it again in the future?
Yes they will eventually go away. . after being fully paid by the property
A Front foot fee is usually paid upfront. Richard's answer is right on.
Front foot fees are assessments made by Counties for the water and sewer lines placed in new communities. Sometimes the Counties collect the fees themselves and sometimes they are collected by a private firm. They usually run for about 30 years from the building of the development.
