There are lots of cute shops & great restaurants and bars.
It seems like a place for young professionals who like to unwind by drinking/dancing/partying/recreational drugs/ other forms of nightlife. For people who have roommates and are not quite settled down yet and also artistic types. Not so much for families or kids. You will see panhandlers and trashy alleyways, broken down buildings and boarded up houses. But also some houses that are being rehabbed and are beautiful. Parking can be hard to find. Seems relatively safe during the day, not so much at night.
Heather is correct. Ohio City is an exciting place to live and loaded with professionals. My own daughter is a BS/RN at the Clinic and lives in Tremont, which is close by, and loves it! We looked at places all over Cleveland and they chose to live there! Good luck.
