What else i have to pay except maintenance fee and taxes if i buy a condo? Insurance?

Betty, if possible, you should ask if there is any periodic assessment fee related to building improvement (for example, elevator change, building wall renewal)

Generally common charges, insurance is always a good idea....

You have to pay for your taxes, insurance, utilities (electric, gas) and the commom charge fee.

You ask many questions that a purchaser should ask before making a major purchase such as real estate. It seems as if you should be assembling a team of professionals to work with including a broker, mortgage banker and real estate attorney.

A condo is like buying a house. You pay a common charge which includes snow and garbage removal, all maintenance on the outside of the building. You pay all taxes and utilities.

Some condos may require insurance and it is always good to have insurance coverage.
