Well realtors, Trulia has a property in Tennessee that it's Status is also followed by Assessor. It is true & it obviously happens. I was wondering the meaning of that status also.

I've been selling real estate for close to 20 years, I'm a director on both the local board of Realtors as well as the NY State Association of Realtors and have never seen Assessor listed as a "status". Could you be mistaken? A status of A usually means an active listing.

Hi Bbeachlm,

I'm pretty sure you know that an assessor is someone who evaluates property for the tax purposes for the local government. Honestly, I've never heard the term "Status: Assessor" used in that way before. My hunch is that if you were looking at a website database, than it might mean that the property is currently in the process of being assessed. This question is pretty hard to get to the bottom of without knowing all the facts. Feel free to call me if you'd like more assistance.

feel free to contact me direct at 716-525- 0957 if you need more information regarding the property
normally the "status" is A ....active.. P...pending....U....under contract...X...expired....
anyways...it could have something to do with the taxes...possible tax exemptions?..

Is the property a foreclosure, and are taxes owed, one wonders--haven't seen this type of status before, therefore not sure on it's meaning.
