Charleston has many cultural hubs - almost in every area - Mount Pleasant, James Island, West Ashley, Downtown on the peninsula. It could mean theaters, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, are all close by. If there are any homes you would like more information on, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Having lived and worked on James Island for quite a few years now, I can only think of a few neighborhoods that would be located within walking distance of some of the hubs here on the island. Usually when people use this phrase, they’re referring to Downtown Charleston. Which area are you considering? I’ve included a lot of info on both of these areas on my website, so hopefully this helps you to get a better feel for them. Downtown Charleston
(http://www.searchforcharlestonrealestate.com/downtown-charle…) and James Island (http://www.searchforcharlestonrealestate.com/james-island-re…) If you’re looking to live in a commonly called cultural hub, you might check out the French Quarter district of Downtown (http://www.searchforcharlestonrealestate.com/downtown-charle…) because it has the famous Dock Street Theatre, about 30 art galleries, and some of Charleston’s best restaurants.

Possibly "near museums, symphony halls or other culturally significant landmarks and venues".
