Mom, you must tell us more. Where do you see status unknown, on what site, what listing?
I'm having an open house Thursday 11-1 PM. and on Sunday 12-4 PM. Please come by and say Hi. 40 Westland Rd, Cedar Grove. Elmwood turns into Overlook, bear left to Westland then tpo corner of Forest, Ced Grove. Maybe we can figure it out.

Will,

If by "status unknown" you are referring to a description I would venture to guess that (1) it is a bank owned property wherein the condition in unknown (2) an estate whreein the sellers did nto live in the property an cannot be 100% sure of it's condition or (3) it is an investor owner property where they typically decline the fulfillment of a seller's disclsoure (not required) simply because they have not lived in the property.

Hi Willsmom, if you saw this on a Trulia listing, then send it along and we'll explain what you are seeing. It is likely the Under Contract status - the status designations are A(Active), A*(Attorney review-ie, accepted contract being reviewed by attorneys), UC(Under Contract), X(Expired), W(Withdrawn). T(Temporarily Off the Market), and the very happy state of S(Sold!).

Verona is a great community - recently helped a Trulia buyer close on their first home there - visit my Trulia Blog to read more - link below:

Send along the link to where you saw the status and I'll do my best to explain further.

Best,

Perhaps you are looking on Trulia which pulls from the MLS and the listing agent needs to make changes in the listing in Trulia. Not all Realtors utilize this website's resources.

Hello.
There is no status that I have ever seen that is unknown. There is a contract that sellers sign and its a legal. Therefore, unknown is not a term we use. It's either A-active; UC-under contract: or S-Sold. Where did you see unknown?
If I can help you find a home in Verona please feel free to call me at 973 951 6665
Thank you.

Hi Willsmom
I don't know where you saw this "status unknown" designation, as it isn't part of our Garden State Multiple Listing System. Where did you see this?

. I can only assume this means that the status of the home isn't known...whether it is active ( still for sale), under attorney review, or under contract , or sold.

Is there a particular home you wanted to check on? If so, please let me know.

Best wishes
