What do you view Downtown Durham's missing link in better serving the community?

Asked by Carol Cappelletti, New York, NY Mon Nov 26, 2012

We have a major Performing Arts Center, restaurants offering a wide selection of cuisines, late night clubs, art galleries, art council building farmer's market and then some. Tell me what's missing?

I feel like we are missing a day time Museum or Aquarium in walking distance, something to attract visitors for tours, this would help store owners restaurants etc.

A supermarket in walking distance is critical to the viability of downtown Durham. I know of some planned, but I'm not certain their being located close enough proximity.

The other thing that's need are at the moment (again there are things in the pipeline I'm aware of) are more downtown living spaces.

Great question and I'm looking forward to reading what other local Durham residents thoughts are.

WOW!!! What a good question. I feel that a Blues music type restaurant or a Blues bar would be a great draw to the community and to the Downtown area.
