Hi Sam, I think Sea Groves fits perfectly into that. Apex has changed and is changing considerably as we speak. If you envision the changes that are planned to happen including the arrival of 540, Apex is a great place to settle down in. Please visit http://www.apexnc.org/docs/plan/dev_map.pdf and of course, a lot of recently published reports on future projects.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Thanks.
Hi Sam
I agree with the previous posts. Another thing to consider is how long do you plan on living there and how long will the builder be building there. If I can help with anything do not hesitate to contact me.

Seagrove Farms is a wonderful neighborhood in downtown Apex off of Center Street w/a very attractive community pool and clubhouse. I had clients that purchased in the neighborhood earlier this year because the pricing/incentives were attractive and the lot sizes larger than what buyers would typically see in Cary. Seagrove Farms is one of the few communities in Apex where the builder, Standard Pacific, successfully sold through the spec homes in the neighborhood. In addition, Standard Pacific recieved a large cash infusion in 2008 which helped with the community stability when other neighborhoods in the area with new construction were struggling.
It will a be very nice added amenity when/if Apex gets the funding together for the park at the pond in the neighborhood.
And the convenience to Downtown Apex, Downtown Raleigh, and into Cary are all supported by Center Street and US 1.
The ability to slip out through Surrey Meadows and Vintage Grove allow for an added access and egress pathway.
At some point, however, Center Street congestion will need to be addressed by Apex, and I wonder if the right of way is adequate for expansion of the street.
