Bob, there are currently 9 active listings in PP, ranging from 135K to 235K. The 2008 taxes on the lowest condo were $397 and it appears that they are the original owners, so that is an artifically low number due to the "save our homes" program. The highest tax bill of these nine was $1806. The general answer for tax questions like yours is that you should expect to pay around 2% of the purchase price, and then that will be reduced by the number of exemptions you can qualify for. Between the save our homes program and the exemptions available, actual taxes for similar properties can vary widely. If I can be of further help you can reach me at 772-532-7979. I am a full-time agent living in Sebastian.
