What are the real estate trends in the Canaan area? Are things moving? Are the prices stable or rising or dropping?
We're considering a possible vacation type residence. We know it's not high end, but if it were we couldn't afford it.

FIRST ANSWER
Prices are dropping everywhere. We have lost 20% from yrs past and continue to drop 2% per month in the Canaan area. Homes are taking 9-12 months to sell. If you are a buyer, now is a geat time! Let me know what you are looking for and what price range and I can stear you in the right direction.
