What are the real estate taxes on Anna Maria Island? Also, are sellers willing to pay closing costs in that area?

Hello SunnyFlorida, great question. Most have answered the closing question but let me help with real estate property taxes. A good rule of thumb to estimate your real property taxes for Anna Maria Island would be to take 1.5% of the purchase price. So for example a $300,000 property would be about $4,500. Of course this is a rough estimate and Ken Burton Jr ultimately has the say on what the property taxes will be but this is a good tool to get yourself close for high level planning purposes. Of course as millage goes up or down significantly that will change this general rule.

Real Estate taxes fluctuate based on the assessed value of the property, so you would need to provide a specific address for the exact 2011 taxes, which we could assist with. In regards to closing costs, all sales are negotiable between Buyer & Seller, and depending on the Seller’s motivation, they may in fact be willing to split the cost or a portion thereof to close the deal. Just as each property is different, so are the closing details that accompany the sale. In every case you should seek out a Competent REALTOR in your area. As Anna Maria Island residents, we would be pleased to assist you in any way.

Property taxes differ from property to property. Consult a Realtor in the area who can tell you the taxes on specific homes for 2011. That should give you an idea. As to closing costs, it all depends.
Good Luck!
