There are many pros and cons to purchasing one of these. they can have great rental potential in the right setting, or if your looking for a place to hang your hat on weekends, they are very affordable. In the Wildwoods most condotels are converted motels with property management on site. Very convenient for an owner. Property management costs are high; sometimes exceeding 20%. These are in addition to your property taxes and condo fees. I do not recommend this type of unit if it is seasonal.

I haven't had much personal experience with them, but there are some details about condo-hotels that might give you a better idea as to whether you want to purchase one.
