The State of Michigan has a website where you can calculate the property taxes for anywhere in Michigan. The only guesswork involved is the estimate value of the home. If you use the asking price you should be able to get close. Here's the link;

FYI, I have a 2000 sq. ft. home in Farmington Hills with a garage and half basement. I pay about $3200 a year. Hope all this helps.

The mileage rate varies by school district. The homestead (primary residence, owner occupied) rates are as follows:

CLARENCEVILLE FARMINGTON WALLED LAKE
35.1380 43.8067 37.4511

You need the taxable value of the property to calculate the taxes but you can estimate it by multiplying the mileage rate and 1/2 the value of the home and divide by 1000..
