What are the new developments in Stamford?
Hello,
I'm currently renting in Queens and would definitely love to own a place/condo. I recently visited Stamford and due to the proximity/commute to my job in midtown, Stamford is a top contender. My only requirement is that the condo be a new construction or somewhat new. I like the ambiance of a new construction and I don't want to bother with an older condo which i have to redo the kitchen with stainless steel appliances as well as fix up the bathroom. What are some affordable condos in the Stamford area that fit my budget of about 300-325K? Ideally, I'd like a 2br but I'm sure I'm asking for too much. I'm sure I'm priced out of the downtown area but since I have a car, driving to the station wouldn't be a big deal. I do hope prices in Stamford go down due to the crisis going on now. I have already checked out Eastside and they look great!

For your price range you can get an old condo (sometimes with updates, sometimes-without). Prices are still high up here. New developements are going too high-1 bed-about $379K-the cheapest. And common charges are high. The guy Chris Farris-put a list all junk for you-if you don't familiar with city-you wouldn't know where is a decent neighborhood and where isn't. The brokers are hunting now for clients and they are not very decent. You asked about a new developement-and he offered 93 listings in your price range-sounds like deaf to the ear. You don't need even look through these 93 listings-nothing for you, believe me. Eastside in Stamford-isn't something similar to eastside in Manhattan. The district isn't safe and convinient. The best you can look-Strawberry Hill or 50-65 Glenbrook Rd. But there are old condos with high prices and high common charges. You may look at 85 Camp Ave. But also it''s over $400

New developments for that price are few to come by in Stamford. Eastside is one option. Also the biltmore tower are redone and that's in downtown. You can also find something redone/rennovated in Springdale, Glenbrook, Hope and downtown areas. You can actually get two bedrooms rennovated in downtown. If you want me to send you some of these properties just contact me.
