The most highly sought after schools at the present time are Hawk Elementry, Crownover Middle, and Guyer High School. Please let us know if there is any other way we can assist you with your move to Denton!

Stay away from Hodge, Lee, Rivera, Borman, Calhoun as I have not heard good things from these schools. Sam Houston, Wilson, Evers, Ryan, McMath, Strickland are good schools that I would put my kids in.

You can check out this link on my website for school resources:

There are links once you get to those websites to help you see the rankings of the schools.

Denton is a neat place to live. If you pick a school you can search for homes based on the name of the school on my website. One of the few that allow direct customers too.
Just click on Search and then more options....

Hi Dawn!
Not only do you have a great selection of schools in Denton ISD (Independent School District) but you also pay MUCH lower property taxes than Tarrant and Dallas counties!

Denton is growing by leaps and bounds. New schools everywhere! There are many fabulous communities that are very child oriented that include schools within the development. This allows for a close-knit community where folks know one another and the clients I have assisted in their relocation are always comfortable in re-establishing themselves in a "child friendly" neighborhood with sports and holiday activities.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance. I see (that) other agents have responded to your initial query and would be honored to work with you in finding the location that works best for you.

Warmest Regards,

Denton has a lot of good schools. I personally like Hawk Elementary and Crownover Middle School, but I also think EP Rayzor Elementary, Ryan Elementary, and McNair are all good. McMath and Harpool are both good on the middle school level. Hope this helps. You can google the accountability ratings in the state of Texas for the schools and search by district and put in Denton for the ISD. It will show you which ones are exemplary, recognized, and academically acceptable. Let me know if I can further assist you. Suzy - suzy@fluterealty.com

Hi Dawn! I've included a link to the Denton ISD report card for all schools, however, I think you can learn much more about a school by talking to the principal, teachers and parents. It really depends on what you are looking for. We made the decision to transfer our 7-year old daughter into the Newton Rayzor Elementary School because it just recently became an accredited International Baccalaureate school. Calhoun Middle and Denton High are also IB accredited. We are seeing a waiting list for students that want to transfer into Newton Rayzor. Our daughter has been in the school for 2 years now (Kinder and 1st) and we've been really happy with her education. She came from a private preschool, so we had concerns about her being held back for the other students. However, she has been challenged along the way. It's for sure that Denton has some great schools. We'd be happy to talk with you more about schools, neighborhoods and living in Denton.

You are coming to the right town! The Denton School District (DISD) is very well run, with an administration that is up to date, caring, and involved. Feel free to look at the DISD website for particular information about the individual elementary schools. Our team has been very involved in the community Adopt-A-School program for several years. And if you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us directly.
