What are the best family neighborhoods in Santa Rosa to live in for under $500k in a newer neighborhood?

I am going to be working in Santa Rosa and looking for a newer home (1990 and later). I would prefer a larger lot 5000 sq ft and greater. I don't want to buy a 2000 sq ft home on a 3000 sq ft lot. Our budget is upto $500k. We have two year old and one on the way.

Hi Mike-

I think your search got mis-directed to 'Voices' in Tucson, AZ as we have a neighborhood called Barrio Santa Rosa-From your location in SF and your price range, I think you are inquiring about Santa Rosa, CA. If you aren't getting any answers from Santa Rosa, CA and my assumption is correct, you may want to rephrase your question by inserting California into your request! Good luck!

Hi Mike,

Glad to hear you're moving to the Old Pueblo! Are you definitely wanting to stay in the Santa Rosa area or would you be willing to consider housing a bit further away? The reason I ask is because you aren't going to find a home that is newer than 1990 AND has a large lot in that particular neighborhood. There are a few homes that fit your criteria but have small lots. Because you're located near I-10 (which is under construction until 2010), I would consider West Tucson, SW Tucson, or NW Tucson. You could even look SE down in Vail (many nice properties available) and would only be looking at about a 20min drive up I-10.

For your price range and desires there are a multitude of properties available that I believe would suit your needs. If you would like more information regarding home availability and school information feel free to contact me!
