What are homes selling for in the Redmond area in relation to the listed prices?

I know that's not an easy one to answer as the desirability of a home varies greatly from one listing to the next based on 101 factors. But in general are homes selling for higher, roughly at, or below the listed prices?

I'm moving back "home" to Redmond and want to be a first time buyer later this year or next year if possible. Got the credit for it, DTI and job history (due to a work injury) look to be my next hurdles. Just curious about the sell vs. list prices.

Thanks!

Hi, I am not connected with the real estate industry in any way, but do have our home listed for sale in Sisters, about 40 miles, 35 minutes away. Housing prices in the Bend-Redmond area are down like they are all over the US, but this is a growing and vibrant place to live, not to mention one of the most beautiful high desert areas anywhere. My wife and I retired here in 1995, and are moving because of family and personal reasons to Boise. We have our home on the market and as a retired CPA have made myself aware of RE prices. This gives you enough background about me, so you know when I say homes are selling for about 90-95 % of listing in all three cities you can rely on it. I have in front of me the sales from January 1, 2009 to June 15, 2009, for the entire Sisters area the average selling price compared to listing was 92%. The most expensive was $1,375,000 and the lowest was $190,000.

No one yet has answered the question by locate folks, so here is a website that might help you. As you know the area, you can pick an address and see where it goes. Zillow.com. This may give you some data to start with. The local realtors can give you data for that MLS area. Good Luck.
