We're moving to Denver in the spring - how can I find information about specific neighborhoods in Centennial? Google search isn't very helpful.

Tracy,

I would like to extend to you a heart felt Rocky Mountain Welcome!

As a realtor and resident of Centennial, I, too, am recommending that you refer to RECOLORADO.COM for good up to date information. Beyond that I think the best thing you could do is develop a relationship with a realtor that lives and works in the area.

Centennial is spread across the southern part of Denver Metro and has a wide diversity of housing and life styles as I'm sure you have seen in your searches. Someone who lives and works here will be able to really help you focus on areas that are most suited to you. This is a large city and as I said before with a lot of diversity.

I moved to Denver Metro area almost 30 years ago and have not had one regret!!!

If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact me 303-489-5978.

Best of Wishes to You and Yours,

Our current Denver MLS is adding public links to area information which includes schools districts, restaurants, etc. In the next few weeks more information will be on the "cloud" which should help. In the meantime, pick an agent who will help you search for your desired information without being pushy about getting you to sign with him/her. Database searches from the specific school dristrict will point you towards individual schools. If you are looking for "safety" information, there are websites for registered sex offenders, etc. which tie into a public database - and call the "Par Officer" for the community you are investigating!

REColorado.com is an excellent source of information. It is the public access site of the Metrolist system in the Denver Metro area.

Centennial is very diverse because it is a relatively new city created by a popular vote of people living in various unincorporated portions of Arapahoe County.

Welcome to the Denver area. BTW, I live in Centennial.

Hi Tracy. You might start with the City of Centennial's official website which is here:
http://www.centennialcolorado.com/

There is a neighborhood map link on their website which is here:
http://centennialcolorado.com/index.aspx?NID=652

Let me know if you need any other information. I work in Centennial frequently, as a matter of fact I was looking at a foreclosure in Foxridge about 2 hours ago.

Good luck,
Randy

Hello Tracy,

There are neighborhoods of varying price points in Centennial. What price point are you looking to buy in and what other items are important, e.g. shopping, schools, entertainment, public transit proximity.

Knowing these items would be helpful in giving you more specific information.

Please contact me if I can be of service.

Tracy,

Welcome to Denver!! Good answers below. This is a city in the southern suburbs of Denver that is growing more and more in popularity and desirability. There is something for everyone in this diverse community. Other great communities in that area are Highlands Ranch, Englewood and Littleton. I hope you are having great success if you are selling your home in Las Vegas. We are not allowed to comment about the safety of any community as Realtors, but here is a site to check out if you are interested - http://www.spotcrime.com/#Centennial%20CO%20 . Tracy,

I would love to help you and your family find the right neighborhood. There are many factors that go into selecting your neighborhood and I would be delighted to help you narrow those downs. Many times the neighborhood will have an HOA website that will give you information. Please call me and we can discuss what you are looking for so I can point you in the right direction!
