We're looking for a seasonal home for my parents (mid-70s), 3-bdrm, 2-bath in the Ft.Myers, Bonita Springs

area. They drive so looking for an area easy to drive in - not too busy with traffic, they love a nice library, home improvement store, grocery store, they love to walk with their dog and a dog park would be great. We would be visiting with kids and our dog and hope to have the house into our retirement years as well (we're in our 40s) - any ideas would be much appreciated - since we have dogs a single family would be better than a condo - could we get anything nice between $250-300,000 - what areas would you suggest -thank you

Best area with little congestion, grocery store, sidewalks to walk, and library, along with many other amenities, is Naples, Florida. I have a beautiful refurbished, nice yard, great neighborhood, in Lely Ctry Club. Homeowners Fees are $60 @ year. Home is priced right and ready for your parents. It has a large open spacious feel and a lovely florida room on the back of the home that look sout over a nice yard and fruit trees. Dogs are welcome, kids too and this home is close also to the new hospital, two golf courses, many restaurants to choose from and much much more. Let me know if I may help, it is my listing so I know all about this beautiful home. Seller will even let you pick the color you want the outside of the home painted!! Thank you, Mary at 239-298-0600

Hi Meg
Not sure if you are still looking but we are selling our 3 bed 2 bath pool home in South Ft Myers, the Iona/McGregor area. The location sounds perfect for you, near the beaches, close to shopping, restaurants, churches, hospital library etc. We have a large yard in addition to the pool area and great sidewalks in our neighborhood to walk our dog. There is a ton of properties to choose from, but it sounds like our area is tailor-made for you!

Hello,

We have our condo for sale on a lake in Bonita. It is new. 3 bd. 2ba. Very large. We had our dog there and there is a walk around the lake so dog owners can walk and play with their dogs. It also overlooks the pool. Close to everything. I have a site set up see link. Give me a call if you would like to see it.

Meg,
My husband and I are in our 70s and have a second home in Sun City Center, Florida, just south and east of Tampa. it's a fantastic community, not only easy to drive around and with nearby stores of every variety (home improvement, huge CVS, new giant Walmart, big Publix, etc) but one is also permitted to drive a golf cart on the streets within the community of Sun City Center. There are golf courses, a softball field, bocci ball, tennis, pools, . . . the list goes on and on but definitely a nice fenced in dog park. The price range of $250-300,000 is perfect for a lovely large 3-4 bedroom newer home.
I'm a Realtor in Michigan but have many friends in real estate in that area. I would be happy to refer your parents to someone. I'm easily reached at 800-923-3245. Barbara

Try looking in the Venice area....smaller, quaint, easy beach access with designated dog beach, less traffic during the season and loads of activities for seniors. There are some terrific deals here that could save your parents a lot of money. Check out our website

Hi Have you thought about Cape Coral? It is a very nice and quite community, great for elderly as they have a wonderful seniors center with activities. It's also very family friendly. You can get quite a bit of house right now for 250k to 300k. I would be happy to send you some properties over the internet and go out and take photos of neighborrhoods etc if you are interested. Check out my website and feel free to contact me if you see anything you like or have any questions. www.nancydrealtor.net
Have a great day,

I work all of Lee county and north Collier......You seem to be asking about Estero. Actually....the community I have in mind has a ranch 4 bed 2 bath 2 car garage available with almost 2300 square feet. Across the street is a Publix(grocery), 2 minutes down the street is the Library and the Brand new Estero Community Park with a dog park. The area is in between Naples and Fort Myers and is 10 minutes to the Southwest Florida International Airport....It also has more shopping than any area in all of Florida per square mile.

Please email me and I will begin to send you some of the homes available via e-mail and in particular the one home I think fits the bill off the top of my head. I look forward to hearing from you.

By the way I actually went to high school in Farmington.....gorgeous area......COLD in the winter though!

Hi Meg,

I would actually suggest looking a little further north of Ft Myers in Port Charlotte or North Port. North Port has a great library and there is a dog park about 20 minutes away in Venice. There is not much traffic in North Port and has a brand new Home Depot, Publix and WalMart. They could get a very nice home in the $250,000-$300,000 range.

Please contact me to discuss the properties available and I can send them by email.
