We qualify for the first time homeowner tax incentive. We have a home we can close on by the november

deadline. But the home needs extensive renovation and we won't be able to occupy until late spring of 2910. Meanwhile we will be staying in a rental. Do we qualify?

FIRST ANSWER

We believe the program specifies only the the property transaction needs to close by December 1, 2009 and that the home purchased needs to be your primary residence. We have not seen any deadline for occupancy of the home.
