Yes, you can. There is an alarming number of people attempting short sale right now so be prepared for the process to take anywhere from 3-6 months. Banks are in trouble financially and have laid off workers. Those workers are now attempting to process or negotiate deals like never before. Patience is key if you are going to play the short sale game.
