TIP #1: Detroit is like NO OTHER real estate market (especially for investors) on the planet. With that being said you can throw out whatever you thought you knew about real estate and real estate investing.
That starts with your question "experienced agent" that won't cut it here in Detroit. You MUST align with "AN INVESTOR" first, if they are ALSO an experienced agent, even better.
Trust me Danielle, a so called "experienced agent" when you are looking for investment property in Detroit is going to waste you a lot of time and money. Get with an "expert investor" first and learn the landscape.
I would encourage you to align with someone who does what you want to do. There is a HUGE difference between "investors" and "agents who work with investors".
