your opinion of either? We are leaning towards Kingman? What is the current market conditions ? Should we wait? Also in Canada if we buy through the listing realtor, they usually will discount the selling price from the commission. Is that common practise in Kingsman too?

I'm currently working with a couple from Calgary, and they love it. The more we drive around the more they can't wait to move down. I live in Bullhead City/Laughlin, and have since 1984. Not sure I'd survive anywhere else now. If you decide to come to the area I don't think you'll be sorry. And as far as buying, right now is the time. Prices have never been lower, and probably never will be again. The Bullhead/Laughlin area I think is more attractive then Kingman, but Kingman does have a slightly cooler summer. If you'd like to e-maill me I can show you why picking us over Utah is the wiser choice, haha. Seriously, if you're serious about buying, now's the time to move on it. I'll look for your e-mail.

Hi Laurie:
St George is exploding and generally, they have traffic problems & the property values are higher than in Kingman. I personally love that area, but Kingman is great, too, and I think, quite the bargain.
It makes no difference if you buy from the listing office or if you buy though a member of the multiple listing service, who can show you ALL homes. The commission is paid by the seller, and they pay a commission, regardless of who buys their home. So, no, don't call every listing agent to see a home individually; use an agent who is willing to show you homes that are within your perameters and who knows the areas you are looking in.
Right now, prices are the lowest I've seen in 5 years, as foreclosures are now on the market, and it's the time to get it while the gettin's good! There's an abundance of homes priced under the market, as some of the sellers are willing to lose in this tight market just to get moved. Interest rates are fabulous, it's a good time to buy.
If you need financing to buy a home, dual citizenship is usually required. How will you be buying the home you are looking for?
I've been helping residents of Bullhead City since 1975, and know the Kingman & Golden Valley area very well. I look forward to helping you in your search for warmer winters! Please e-mail me the price range you are looking in, and I'll send you some information on homes now for sale in Kingman...
