Ahoosfan, Home Buyer in Centreville, VA

We had a foreclosure in March of 2012. How long do we have to wait until we can apply for a home loan again?

Asked by Ahoosfan, Centreville, VA Tue Oct 29, 2013

I would be using my VA loan for this purchase. I did not use it for the foreclosure.

Hi,

Two of my buyers bought after foreclosure / bankruptcy this year, they needed to wait 3 years here in Virginia. Laws may vary from state to state.
Good news for you is that it's almost been 1.5 years since you've foreclosed. Since each situation is different, I highly recommend getting together with a reputable and knowledgeable lender who can guide you through the process.
Once clients with similar situation as yours come to me, I connect them with my most trusted loan officer who can look into their file and suggest solutions. If you are currently not working with a Realtor and would like to see where you stand, please feel free to contact me directly.
Hope this information is helpful to you!!
