We currently live in Upstate N.Y. We would like to move closer to our family, in the Schuylkill-Lehighton

area. Since property isn't selling at this time, we were wondering if it would be possible to trade homes with someone who would like living in a small town. Does anyone think this would be possible?

I think it's a good idea! I read about this lately, and it's an option for sellers having a hard time selling.
You can search the schuylkill mls at http://move2pennsylvania.com

I think its very possible and possibly could have been done already. You could past an ad in the local News paper here in Lehighton. Times News or you can go to there website http://www.tnonline.com.

Mary,

You may be ahead of the game...

We feel real estate trades are going to be the up and coming thing. The obvious problem is matching people not only with the right home but ....with swaps, matching people with the right location.

Today's systems anr not set up for home trades making it difficult to create this union. You might want to try posting your needs on other popular websites, like http://www.craigslist.com http://www.activerain.com

Good luck
