Hi Debbie,

I live in Palm Valley and always see golf carts rolling around. Sometimes it is me driving!

Yes, you can drive licensed golf carts as long as they have the minimum equipment needed to be street legal. There are several people in the Palm Valley area that do this. The nice thing about Palm Valley if you're into golf is there are several courses in the area in addition to the main one in Palm Valley. There's a separate driving range there too. Great area. My own two cents - when you have questions that have both HOA and legal implications, run it by both the HOA and the local police department. In Palm Valley you should be fine on the golf cart issue - just make sure it is licensed, insured and has minimum equipment.

Hi Debbie,

What amenities are important to you? It sounds like golf is......so you may want to consider a golf community that offers active adult and all age neighborhoods......or a golf community that is "age oriented" instead of "age restricted". I know of a few communities in particular that my Canadian buyers seem to like the best, I would love to show them to you! You will typically pay less for a home in an "all age" neighborhood than you will in an active adult, as you are paying for the lifestyle.

What is it about Palm Valley in Goodyear that is attractive to you? Was there a particular neighborhood you had in mind? I have a few house sitters that I can recommend, call or email me and we can chat about your needs.

Hi Debbie,

Yes golf carts are legal, they have to be licensed and have to have lights, turnsignals, seatbelts etc. just like any car. You may only drive on streets that have a speedlimit of 35 or less. House sitting services are pretty easy to find anywhere in the valley.

If you want more information about the Palm Valley communities rules and regulations you may call Palm Valley Community Center at 623.935.5100. You may also call the HOA for the communities: Phase 1 is managed by Rossmar & Graham at 480.551.4300, Phase 2 & 3 contact Jennifer Thompson at 602.288.2632

Hope this helps and good luck in your search!
