We are "safe" property locations to purchase for students attending NOVA?

My daughter will be attending NOVA Medical School in August. We are considering purchasing an inexpensive condo for her to live in, then sell after 3 years, or possible keep as a rental property. What is a good safe area near NOVA with prices below $80k?

Hi Red:

As Cindi correctly told you, we have to be careful regarding "safe" areas, but I can tell you that Nova is in a nice area with lots of townhome and condo communities - some are older ones in golf course complexes. I recommend that you contact a Realtor and work with them. Any of the Realtors who post here on Trulia who are in South Broward, will be able to help you.

I'd be more than happy to help you find somewhere that works for your daughter. There are certainly several 1 and 2 bedroom condos that are in that area and in your price range.

Best of luck to you and especially to her in her studies!

As far as safety, think about calling the non-emergency number of the local police department to ask that question....as Realtors, we could be in violation of HUD rules by answering that. :)
