around Lowell. Villages at Stow looks like the community we might be interested in - are there any other communities like this one (good schools, lightly wooded lots, landscaped, younger than 20y, priced around $400K) around Lowell?

Hi Tanya. There are other condo complexes in the area with properties under $400K, but probably none with detached homes like the Villages. Are you interested in a single family or a condo? The condo fees will influence how much of a mortage you can get, so be sure to factor that in when you go for a pre-approval. (The fees at the Villages, for example, are around $350/mo.) Other towns you might consider are Litteton and Westford. It's hard to say what will be on the market at the end of the year, as many potnetila sellers like to wait until after the holidays.

Hi Tanya,
what are the rest of your parameters. number of bedrooms, baths, lot size, style of house, living area, etc?
I reside in Concord, MA and am very familiar with the surrounding towns.
As far as schools a very useful web page about public schools is http://profiles.doe.mass.edu/.
If I could be helpful, please feel free to contact me directly at yannistsitsas@yahoo.com.
