What is our best course of action - will renting our current property adversely affect our getting the property we like in Lynchburg? Please help - we're ready to move SOUTH!

Samuel, the answer to your question depends on your financial status (your ability to qualify for what you want to buy here). Are you going to need the money from the sale of your home, or will you be able to qualify with the rental income that you'd be receiving. I work with several excellent local lenders who can help you in determining what you can do without selling your home. I'm an Associate Broker -- if you don't have a local REALTOR representing you I'd be happy to work with you. I can be reached by e-mail at Jeff@JeffSecrest.com.

Samuel,
Firstly, congratulations on your decision to move south, I know you won't regret it. Virginia is a beautiful state with much to offer.
The question is can you qualify for two mortgages or do you have other options to purchase a home in Lynchburg. Your need to consult a bank or mortgage broker to see what you can qualify for. If two mortgages are not an option until you sell your home in Boston maybe you can obtain a lease purchase on a home in Lynchburg.
