We are moving to Mckinney Texas and need some general information on the area.

I would really like to know what neighborhoods to look in. I have some idea about Stonebridge Ranch but it is so big I hardly scratched the surface when visiting and looking at homes. I know the schools are fantastic and the shopping is great.

Carmen,
I don't know if you have found this out et but McKinney has two different school districts, McKinney ISD & Frisco ISD, both highly rated. Frisco has the much lower tax rate. Cascades Park is one of the newest subdivisions in Stonebridge Ranch and it is in Frisco ISD, great location and nice neighborhood. Welcome to McKinney, you will love it!

Carmen, get with a Realtor asap to discuss your options in McKinney. Stonebridge Ranch seems to have caught your eye. How could it not? It's the largest master planned community in McKinney. But, McKinney has great options inside and outside Stonebridge. Research them all with an agent who knows the area and save yourself a lot of information overload. Be careful when searching in Stonebridge. There are different villages, like Cascades Park, and you can easily miss a village because you don't see the name Stonebridge.

McKinney is a great place to live. I have lived in Stonebridge since 1998. We love it. We would love to talk with you about our city. We know a lot about the city, neighborhoods, schools, etc. You asked what neighborhoods to look in... but what price range are you looking in. I would love to talk with you about it. Call me anytime at 469-450-5522 David.

Stonebridege Ranch is great in that there are many "neighborhoods" all in relatively different price range. The ammenaties are great and there is a very active HOA. Although there are other places to settle down, the schools, pools, prgrams and community activities make SBR a great place. If you are by chance looking in the mid 200's, let me know. We are looking to down size some and would enjoy showing you around.

Hi Carmen,
Congratulations on your move and welcome to Texas. McKinney is a great place to live. We probably need a little more information to help you narrow down neighborhoods. What price range do you want to be in. Do you want an older more established neighborhood or new construction or something in between. Typically we go through a range of questions with you to help narrow the focus. There are some really nice deals in McKinney including some great foreclosures. Call me if you need assistance.

Hi Carmen,

Welcome to Texas! There are a lot of great areas in McKinney. The best way to help you would be for you to get a little more specific in what your needs might be. Do you work? Are you looking for something close to work, or is commuting not a problem? You already know the schools are very good-are you planning on driving your children to school or do you need to live within walking distance? Do you want a pool? What about living in a neighborhood that has a community pool? Then there's number of bedrooms, baths, square footage, etc...

Please feel free to contact me-I'd be happy to help you narrow down your search.
Marcia

You might try using the MLS search tool. You can narrow your search by pricing, and other specific information. The MLS is available on both my web sites, http://www.friscohomebuying.com or http://www.bigdrelo.com.
I also have numerous site links for Collin County that will help.
