cbakerccm, Home Buyer in Fort Worth, TX

We are looking to purchase a home in the Fairmount area of Fort Worth. How do we find a realtor that is familiar with the area?

Asked by cbakerccm, Fort Worth, TX Mon Jun 4, 2012

We are also selling our home in S. Arlington, near Matlock. What are the first steps in selling our current home/buying our next home?

Good Evening,

First step would be to get your home in south Arlington on the market before school starts back. The best option is to select one of my listing plans starting at $99 and get some immediate traffic through the MLS via realtor searches, Realtor.com, Trulia.com, Zillow.com and all the real estate sites with IDX links, i.e. all major real estate brokers.

The Fairmount area is very unique and prestigous. As you know the location is prime since it is near the hospital district and very restricted with regards to architectural renovations etc. since the aim is to preserve the history, look and feel of this area.

I live in Fort Worth and well aware of the Fairmount area. Depending on the size and condition of the home, the price can vary dramatically. Typically this area will give you much less per sq ft than other parts of Fort Worth, but definitely the most historic.

Call anytime to discuss or check us out on the web at http://www.exclusivepropertiestexas.com since we have more affordable listing options that any other real estate broker in the metroplex. I

I can arrange to meet at the property when convenient if you are not currently working with another agent. I look forward to speaking with you.

What a fun area Fairmount is! Charm, character, and neighborhood all wrapped up in one area.

I love that neighborhood. I'd love to help you with both selling your current home and finding a great house in Fairmount.

To answer your question...the first steps are to take a strong look at your current home. What little things need to be fixed....you know, the dent in the sheetrock, the room that needs to be painted, fixing the fence out back. When we live in a home for a while we get busy and forget to fix it up.

Then when you invite a few real estate agents over, they can look for the larger, pickier projects for you to do.

You'll want to check your credit report and figure out if you need to apply some elbow grease to your financial life...that won't help you sell, but it will help you buy!

Let me know if I can help--

That is a great question. The other agents are correct you need to talk with an agent about both selling and buying your new home. Make certain that you select an agent who is aggressive and will help you achieve your goals with both the selling the existing home and finding the new
home. I am know both areas well and helping clients achieve their goals is what I do. If that interests you give me a call. John Straub 817-729-4281.

I am very familiar with that area, as I just spent 3 months working with a client in that area. My best friend is also a realtor and an excellent listing agent. She specializes in the Arlington area. We would love to have you give us a call to interview us.
