We are looking at a house on dawson drive in West Caldwell, NJ. I wanted to know if there are problems with
flooding in this area?

I am a Realtor that handles this town. I would be happy to get the "Sellers Disclosure" for you . This document obligates the Owner to list all deficiencies of the home. FIRST ANSWER
As part of the sales agreement the owner must disclose if the property is in a flood zone. Your agent shouls be able to get this information for you.
