The answer to your question depends on several factors. I assume based on the location you asked about, Austin Ranch, you are buying new construction. The golden rule in Real Estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. I also have another key question for you to consider....If you have to sell your house in 2 years will you break even??? That is just as important a question/factor.
Austin Ranch is a fine community and, yes, there are a number of other great communities in your price range being built in Frisco. Which is the better community depends upon where you want to live and what you are looking for in a home, but there are perhaps two dozen excellent communities to consider in Frisco in your price range.
Among other communities, we have happy buyers in Cobb Farm and a great working relationship with Beazer Homes there. We also particularly like the Dominion at Panther Creek and Willow Bay. We ourselves live in Christie Ranch and love it here. All of these communities and many others offer fine new homes in your price range.
