Hi Jerome,

If you'd like an overview of Desert Shores, I did a blog post about the community. There's also a Photoshow picture tour there that can play full screen to give you a visual of not only the variety of home styles, but a little sense of the feel of the various neighborhoods.

Hope that helps, and if you have any other questions just get in touch.

Best,

Greetings,

I see that you inquired some time ago. I hope you were able to contact a local, experienced Realtor to assist with your search. A buyer’s agent may be a real asset as they can help assist with your specifications and location preferences in and around Summerlin.

Desert Shores had exactly 79 Single Family Home resale transactions recorded in our MLS for the year LAST YEAR = 2012, and there are roughly about 3,500 homes in there. The average sales price that year, 2012, for a single family home was $252k. This year (today is June 2nd, 2013) that specific community, values are up 5.3%. If you enjoy waterscaping, a man made beach, basketball courts, bike paths and jog trails circling three different lakes, and being in very close proximity to the Summerlin freeway, a huge park, and lots of shopping.... then Desert Shores might be perfect for you.

Hi Jerome,

Desert Shores is it's own community. Part of the community is located across the street, or near Summerlin. But it is not part of Summerlin. Property values are on the rise in all of Clark County which includes Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. Desert Shores is located near shopping, dining, parks and freeways.

It's great if you like living near water. My suggestion is to drive through the area in mornings and the afternoons to get a feel for the community.
