Hi Jodie! It's actually a great time to start investigating an entrance into our investment properties! Prices on gulf front units have finally hit levels that allow you to purchase units with an established rental history that will practically cover all costs and allow you to vacation for free as your investment grows. There are also occasional short sale situations for an even better value. Feel free to visit my website and explore the island properties as well as search for foreclosures any where in the country! Have a great day!

I want to purchase a small sanibel cottage but my husband feels adamant that it would be a bad investment. I plan to do a seasonal rent with it. How can I convince my husband that this is a good investment if it actually is?

On a condo the insurance is usually covered under the home owners association. The only thing you might want to do is get a lease policy that will cover the inside of the property. Those range from $250-$1000 month based on the units size, age and location. If you need any help finding a good agent I have several. I can also help you find the perfect property as well. Please contact me and I will get a custom home search report out to you via email.
