You do not have to pay a fee in Rockland for a buyers agent. I would have to find out about long Island. I doubt it. The seller usually pays the commission. PS Terry, you should not have to pay a fee to retain a Buyers Broker. When you hire a Buyers broker, their job is to act as your agent to find you a home in Nassau County. That broker gets compensated from the proceeds of the sale by the seller of the home you purchase.
