Anita, the other answers here are correct--every market is different, and only those familiar with the local market can give you a true picture. What I tend to recommend to my clients, however, is that each person's situation is also different, and buying a home or making a move out of state is not always going to be a market-driven decision. If I were to consult with you I would ask some simple, yet insightful questions to help you determine what is most important to you, and could then help you devise the best plan of action.

Yes Anita, only agents in NC are going to be able to help you. I lived in the area for 30 years leaving in 2002. Still know lots of people but could not tell you current conditions nor give you an idea of the future.
You need a local.

If you are talking about TN or NC you may be correct. While FL was going down these states were still going up. The slow down has started for them now but prices may not have come down yet. You need an experienced Realtor in the area. I can help you find one if you will contactr me.
