In addition to the great advice and resources my colleagues have offered I'd like to add this website:

Type McKinney, TX in the search box in the top right corner and you'll see all kinds of information about schools in McKinney.

Best Regards in your home search...I'd be happy to support you in finding your home!

You are in luck, because McKinney has excellent schools. Looking at the 2012-2013 DFW ratings, all of the schools in McKinney has met the standards. Many of the elementary schools such as McNeil, Glenn Oaks and Eddins are blue ribbon and commended.

McKinney has great schools in many areas of the town. My wife and I have worked for the district for years and could help with more questions. Have a great day!

There are plenty of good schools in McKinney and typically people look for either McKinney, Allen or Frisco ISD when they live in McKinney.

Let me know if you need help finding a property, I share my knowledge about the area and it's surrounding schools to my clients.

McKinney has good schools. Allen, Frisco, and Plano are near by communities that are said to have better schools.

I currently have a listing in McKinney that feeds to Allen schools and is walking distance to a new elementary school and community pool.

The address is 4917 Berkley Drive, McKinney TX 74070. Check it out and contact me if you have any questions.

How old are you kids? Here is a link to the state accountability ratings.

I've helped many families move to McKinney and they have all been very happy there. There are some neighborhoods with higher than average foundation problems so be on the look out for that.

I am the owner/broker of one of Dallas' oldest and most successful Exclusive Buyer Agencies, HelpUBuy America. We charge a flat-fee for our services, so our fee is the same regardless of whether you buy a $150,000 home or a $500,000 home. This eliminates the conflict of interest that exists when you an agent is paid a commission based on the sales price of the home.

We've been protecting the rights of first-time homebuyers since 1995, and we'd love to assist you. I've also had a book published on Amazon called Buying a Home: Don't Let Them Make a Monkey Out of You. It'll be the best $6 you've ever spent.

Let me know if we can help.

You can search school ratings, neighborhood information (under "Market Insider" of any zip code in North Texas on my website). It also has some nifty features if you are new to the area if you scroll to the far left and can select areas (schools, churches, night life, grocery stores, shopping, etc) of interest around you once you input a particular address (and you can view them in relation to the address on the map). Great way to get to know the area!
