Confused between Toll brothers-Anne Arundel county or Ryland-Gateway overlook-Howard county. Long term what will have better value.

You first need to know what your real 'have to haves' are then compare what each area has to offer. You also should check out all pertinent information. What amenities does AA County have to offer vs Howard County? How far do you want to commute? Are you looking in 55+ neighborhoods? Have you checked all of them out in both counties? What shopping are you looking for? Do you want a lot of activity or a quiet setting? You should probably find a Realtor who can help you get through this. Most builders will work with Realtors and more often then not the commission is paid by the builder. Best of luck! Cher

Ideally you should let your own tastes, preferences and happiness determine which one you will pick. You have to live in the home.

Kj10,
It would be inappropriate for me to tell you which area to choose, besides that, no one can really predict which will hold a better value. I would recommend doing some "homework" to look at both areas at different times of the day, include in your search the distance to and "fro" and if either community has what you are looking to offer. It is not beyond the ordinary to knock on some doors and speak with people that live in each community to find out their take on things. The bottom line is, it is your decsion in the end.
Good luck and please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.
