We are Canadians interested in buying an apartment/townhouse in Jacksonville. Anyone recommend some good residential areas? Any area we should avoid?

Hello Al,
Jacksonville has many great areas, just as the agents have mentioned. You need to decide what lifestyle you want - country, city, beach, suburb or urban. We have all of it here.

If you want to be 'tucked away' yet close to the city and major shopping, then Fleming Island is an excellent choice. We have everything you want in shopping and restaurants, yet we maintain a small town feeling. We are 20 minutes from Mandarin, 25-30 minutes from the St. Johns Town Center, 40-45 minutes to the Beach, 35 minutes to the St. Augustine Outlet Malls, 45 minutes to the historic town of St. Augustine and 30 minutes to downtown Jacksonville.

If you want to be right in the center of town, then the Southside area of Tinseltown or near the St. Johns Town Center would be ideal. If you are an upscale beach person, then Ponte Vedra is the perfect location for you. Our other beach towns are also charming.

If you want a convenient location, the 210 area has some lovely townhouses and you're close to the beach, St. Augustine, and downtown is an easy interstate ride.

St. Augustine is a charming historic town, as is Fernandina Beach in Nassau County. There are just so many choices here, and so many great areas.

Have fun searching and let us know if we can help.

Good Day,

The first thing to do is decide how far from the ocean or river you want to be. That can make a big difference in price, and life style. Then what price range. From those starting points, see if the properties available fit the type of community you want to be in. We do have some 55+ communities for instance.

Hi Al, I am currently working with buyers who are searching for a luxury condominium within a mile or so of
the St Johns Town Center. This area offers the best shopping and lots of choices in terms of size and price range in the entire metropolitan area. I work with lots of buyers as "Buyers Agent." I can send references upon request. If you like, we can talk to see what yours needs are.

Thanks and Best to You,

Jacksonville us a great place to call home in the winter. The weather is mild, yet you do at least still feel the change in seasons which is nice. There are many great areas of Jacksonville that would make for perfect spots to reside over the winter months. Areas such as the Tinseltown/Town Center area has many restaurants, movie theaters, stores and more. Ponte Vedra or any of the beaches offer easy access to the water and great sunrises. Amelia Island, St Augustine, and outer lying areas from Jacksonville are great alternatives as well.

Having a great local Realtor with a high knowledge of the area would be invaluable to you guys. I'd love to be that person for you. Drop me an email or give me a call and we can get to funding you your perfect winter home!

Thanks and Salut,
