So this house is just off of Moore Road, you are near La Cholla, and if you go down that road, you will get to the Foothills Mall in less than 10 minutes, that has movie theatres, restaurants, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, etc. You are also close to Tangerine Rd, and there is a large Fry's along that road, restaurants, and small stores. It is also close to the Golf Course at Dove Mountain, where the accenture match play occurs. If you go in the other direction on Tangerine, you will hit additional stores at the Oro Valley Marketplace, and the Safeway Center and then you will be on Oracle Rd. (State Route 77) and that takes you towards Tucson. There is also hiking in the area.

Like Jodi and Spirit said, this is a huge question!

The city/town limits of Tucson and Oro Valley do meet, but if you need to get to downtown Tucson it's about 18 miles, and 13 to the UofA campus.

We have most major retailer and "big box" stores. The Tucson Mall is about 9 miles south, and La Encantada (upscale shopping and dining) is about 8 miles.

There are 5 golf courses, both public and private. Lots of small gyms and fitness facilities, and an LA Fitness is under construction now. Lots of great hiking too.

Basically you get a lovely "small town" feel in Oro Valley, but you are still close enough to most everything that you might want to do. And the views are incredible!

I suggest that you look at the Town's website as well: http://www.orovalleyaz.gov. Lots of great info here.

Please keep me in mind if you are considering a move here.

Wow, I could write a book! We have great shopping plazas full of all the standards you would get in any large community! Target, Home Depot, Pier 1 Imports, Office Max, Hallmark, Wal-Mart Super Center, Large theater, Trader Joes, Sprouts, Best Buy, Kohl's..... Chiropractors, Dentists, Oro Valley Medical Center/Hospital, Dr.s,, Lawyers. Grocery stores, gas stations, automotive repair, A Walgreens on every other corner (well maybe that's stretching things a bit!).... Yes, we are a big little city on the north side of Tucson. Our boundaries meet! Restaurants galore, a lot of your standards such as Red Lobster, Chili's, Olive Garden and of course almost every fast food and pizza place! Also In N Out, as I see you are from CA and that may be important to you! Also a few Starbucks! We have the Keg (fancier fare), Noble Hops (our favorite beer hangout with views of the Catalina Mtns.), Chinese Dragon Village (won many awards), and the list goes on...... Athletic Clubs, we seem to be very athletic as we have many small training centers and LA Fitness will open their doors soon as well! Lots of Real Estate Companies, are you interviewing? Would love to be part of that process! Please pick up the phone and we can talk about all of the rest of your questions!
